Lutheran – Catholic Dialogues
Evanston Reformation 500 and Beyond
…so that they may all be one, as you, Father,
are in me and I in you,
that they also may be in us, that the world may
believe that you sent me.

Roman Catholics and Lutherans are taking another step toward greater unity by coming together to commemorate jointly the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. Over the coming year, we will engage in a series of events, seminars and services within the framework of four ecumenical dialogues:
- A dialogue of religious experience, in which we seek to grow in Christian unity, sharing our spiritual riches and practices.
- A dialogue of theological exchange, in which we deepen our understanding of and respect for each Church’s respective heritage.
- A dialogue of life, in which we strive to live in an open and neighborly spirit, sharing our joys and sorrows, interests and problems.
- A dialogue of action, in which we collaborate for the integral development and liberation of people.
Heed Christ’s call for unity. Join us in living out our Christian faith. You are invited to attend these activities, seminars and services.
